Major General AbubakarAnifowoseAtofarati (RTD) CMH DSS pscensp MNIM

Major General Abubakar Atofarati is an alumni of the Nigerian Military School (NMS) Zaria from 1970 - 1974. He commenced Cadet training with Regular Course 17 at the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA) in December 1974 and was commissioned as a Regular Combatant Officer in the rank of Second Lieutenant on 18th June 1977 into the Nigerian Army Corps of Engineers. He attended University of Lagos where he obtained Higher Diploma in Computer and Management. He also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Management from University of Calabar.

He attended many military, academic, professional and management courses, as well as many seminars, training workshops, conferences and study tours which took him to different countries all over the world. He attended the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) in the UK for Engineers Young Officers Course from September 1979 to March 1980, where he obtained Diploma in Military Engineering. At the RSME in UK, from April – June 1980, he underwent Construction Management course. He attended Range Management Course Basic and Advance at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Jaji – Kaduna, between November 1980.

Military Honours in his kitty include Forces Service Star (FSS); Meritorious Service Star (MSS); Distinguished Service Star (DSS); Pass Staff College (psc); General Service Star (GSS); Corps Medal of Honour (CMH); Executive National Security Participant (ensp). He has the following Professional Awards: Member Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM) Chartered; Recipient of the award of Honorary Cavalry Trooper of the Third Squadron, Third Armored Cavalry Regiment, United States Marine Corps.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

CHIEF SIR JOSIAH NNODU CHUKA OBI A.C.I.I (Lond); A.I.Arb; A.M.N.I.M; Dip. Sales; KSC

Chief Sir J.N.C. OBI is a graduate of City of London University where he qualified and graduated as an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII): Associate of Institute of Arbitrators, Diploma in Sales Management.

J.N.C OBI was the first Nnewi man to qualify in Insurance and Risk Management. He is called “Oblicity of London” by his peers.

On his graduation, he worked with Yorkshire Insurance Co. Ltd, Commercial Union Assurance Co. Ltd and Dominion Insurance Co. Ltd where he acquired various technical Insurance experiences and knowledge, before returning to Nigeria in 1973 to take up appointment with the Universal Insurance Co. Ltd. as the Lagos Branch Manager. He worked a few months before he was promoted on achieving his target and sent to the head office Enugu to head the entire underwriting departments of the company.

He retired from the Universal Insurance Company in 1990 as Assistant General Manager (Production) to join the African Ivory Insurance Co. Ltd as the Deputy Managing Director. He was one time part-time lecturer at the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. Past President of Rotary Club of Ekulu Enugu District 9140; He is a Knight of the Order of St. Christopher of the Diocese of Nnewi Anglican Communion.

He finally retired in 1994 from African Ivory Insurance Co. Ltd to incorporate the Brokerage outfit known as the United Vanguard Insurance Brokers Ltd of which he is the Managing Director till date. J.N.C attended many Seminars and Conferences on both Local and International level and presented papers.




EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

MR ABUBAKAR KADIRI EBOETSE, B.sc MBF, ACIP, ACIS, ACIIN, ACAM, MNIM PGDE.

Mr. Eboetse is an Accounting Graduate of the University of Lagos and also holds a Master Degree in Banking and Finance from Bayero University Kano. Upon graduating in 1990 he took up studies and training in stock broking and became a qualified Stockbroker in December 1992.Upon qualification, he has held various top positions in various stock broking firms. In 1994 he became the pioneer Chief Operating Officer of Sovereign Trust and Investment Co Ltd (Now Calyx Stockbrokers Ltd). He left STIC to become General Manager / Chief Operating Officer of First Atlantics Securities Ltd in 2000. He left first Atlantics Securities Ltd to join the board of Liberty and Trust Insurance Brokers Ltd in 2003 in an executive capacity. Due to his belief in professionalism, he is also a member of Nigerian Institute of Management, an associate of the Certified Institute of Pensions of Nigeria and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Insurance of Nigeria.

DON MICHAEL ADENIJI. B.Sc., PGC, pnm.

Don Michael is a multi-tasker, born in Lagos on 2nd July, 1970, he obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics from the prestigious University of Lagos in 1995, and he later got a post graduate certificate in Computer Engineering in 1996 before he joined the Apian Finance & Security Limited as Assistant Manager, Operations. He was at Apian Finance for three years and rose to the post of Manager, (Admin. & Personnel). He joined the National Assembly and worked as a Legislative Aide to the Chairman Petroleum Committee in the senate, Senator David CobbinaBrigidi, (Bayelsa Central) from July 1999 to May, 2003. He was appointed a Special Assistant on Communication and Logistics to The Chief security Officer, Government House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State from July, 2003 to May, 2007. In July, 2007, Don was appointed as a Technical Assistant to the ADC to the Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria. He left the post on May, 2010 to join the Board of United Vanguard as Chief Operation Officer, COO.

He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Chartered Mortgage Institute. He has attended many Insurance courses and seminar over the years to brush up on his understanding of the industry. Also a member of local and international professional bodies in peace and conflict resolution these includes: Pulse Africa Associate (PAA), Association of Professional Negotiators and Mediators (PNM), associate of Mediation Training Institute (MTI) etc.

Barr. F.O. Ogbaudu A retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and the first to attain the ranks of Commissioner of Police (CP) and AIG in Isoko land.

A lawyer, teacher and administrator, enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police August 1976 after his National Youth Service in Kano and served meritoriously for 35 years before retiring in August 2011.

Barr. F.O. Ogbaudu attended Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) Badagry, University of Lagos, Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island Lagos and National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos. He taught in James Welch Grammar School Emevor after his HSC programme in Edo College from January 1971-September 1972. While in Police, attended or participated in many courses/conferences/seminars both local and international.

Before leaving Nigerian Police Force He held top positions. Some of the which includes Co-coordinating Deputy Commissioner of Police, Force C.I.D, Abuja, Commissioner of Police GOMBE, OYO, ANAMBRA and Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge Zone 6, Calabar and 7 Abuja.

In recognition of his immense contributions to National Security and the Police Service, He was awarded the National Honors Award- MEMBER ORDER OF THE NIGER (MON) by the Nigeria police force in 2009.

MAGARITA EFENUDU: B.SC (HON), CIRL, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

An astute Insurance practitioner, Margarita has cut her teeth in the business development and strategy. She is a product of University of Benin where she read Accounting and Business Management. She is a member of Nigeria Institute of Management. She attended several courses both in Nigeria and abroad, (Enterprise Insurance Training Inc) in the United States. Before pitch tenting with United Vanguard Insurance Brokers Ltd Margarita has worked with Law Union and Rock as AGM (Marketing Operations).

AKIN AKINWALE AKINTOYE- EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (OPS)

Mr. Akintoye holds Bsc. (Hons) in Actuarial Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Finance & Investment Analysis, Masters in Business Administration, Certificate in Marketing, and Financial Planning Certificate from UK with 20 years experience insurance business.

A seasoned Strategist and started his Insurance career with general portfolio Insurance UK. He has wide experience in business analysis and corporate strategy that attracted his skill to Insurance industries in UK and Western Europe such as Norwich Union, Perl Insurance, GMAC (Mortgage & Insurance) Rabo Bank (Holland) Littlewoods, and Nationwide Insurance. MrAkintoye has also participated in many courses, seminars and conferences Professionally in Europe and Nigeria. He is a member of the Financial Planning Institution in UK where he worked as Underwriting/ Marketing contributed both mean fully and positively towards the growth of the organization. Thereafter All states Insurance Company in USA as a principal agent before moving back to Nigeria

ABBEY OLUSANYA ( DEPUTY DIRECTOR OPERATION)

Abbey Olusanya, is a young, aggressive, and knowledgeable insurance practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in non-life (Property & Casualty) and life insurance underwriting, sales, marketing and product development. He has a Bachelor’s degree (Cum Laude) in Economics and Finance. A resident producer licensed in the State Maryland, Washington DC & Virginia, in all classes of insurance and well versed in structuring developmental courses and seminars in insurance underwriting, claims and marketing.

He began working as an Underwriter, Underwriting Analyst and subsequently Senior Marketing Manager with Lead way Assurance Company Limited, a composite and a world class insurance Company before relocating to the United State in 1999. His experience extends to both personal and commercial lines of insurance for businesses he has identified, developed and the integrity, reputation, dependability, admiration and confidence he has earned himself over the years in the Baltimore Washington Area, as well as the spectrum of contacts he has developed. He is mission focused in building a successful start up Agency.

Abbey Olusanya has maintained a phenomenal and unprecedented growth of the agency through aggressive marketing; direct mailing; tele-marketing; customer referrals; treating customers with dignity and respect and conducting seminars in local organization and churches. Abbey Olusanya has position through the spectrum of services he renders. His book property and causality book of business is equally in excess of $200,000.00. His agency in all ramifications is aggressive, pragmatic, dynamic, but meticulous and prudent sales driven outfit.
